About Us
Welcome to Cogworks
Cogworks has engineered quality products for over two decades and operates from an 1800's brick mill building in Antrim, New Hampshire. Everything is designed and manufactured on location in the mills workshop. A selection of finished work is exhibited in the mills gallery and includes our specialty; precision wooden gears. These gears, or cogs, are featured on our museum exhibits, educational science tools, clocks, mechanical wall art, and office desk puzzles.

Our other work includes custom displays and personalized gift products for schools, colleges, universities, and corporations. We enjoy the challenge of designing and making one-of-a-kind projects, and would be delighted to hear what you have in mind.
We found a recent request irresistible when we realized it involved machining an enormous cog! The result is an impressive 5ft diameter soapstone gear that is a memorial dedicated to the New Hampshire Governor, and entrepreneur, David Goodell. The gear shape was chosen because cogs were extensively used on Goodell's apple paring products. Once the gear was made we gilded its header in 24-karat gold and painted the rest of the carved text black. Lastly we mounted the gear to a large rock that had been transported to Goodell Park in Antrim, New Hampshire.
